Alisa & Dina Johnson, of the Henry Branch, and Rebecca Barker, of the Louisa Branch,
were honored to be the Hosts of the
111th Rinehart Reunion at Dumas Bay Centre, Federal Way, Wa.
Thursday, June 28th - Sunday, July 1st, 2018.
We held the reunion at Dumas Bay Centre in Federal Way, Washington. Set on 12 acres with unobstructed views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, it's was conveniently located between Seattle and Tacoma, and less than 20 miles from Sea-Tac International Airport.
The Centre had several relaxing common areas where we held our family meetings, socialized and played together. There was a sculpture and rose garden with meandering pathways and manicured lawns with a charming gazebo. The spectacular water and mountain views just took our breath away!
There were plenty of comfortable guest rooms at Dumas Bay Centre. Many were single rooms with their own half-bath. Dash Point State Park was nearby for RV or tent camping. There were also a number of familiar hotel chains in Federal Way.
Friday we had a family barbeque at Dash Point State Park where one could play on the beach or hike scenic trails. (A $10 Discover Pass was required per vehicle.) All of our on-site delicious and healthy meals were prepared by the Centre's executive chef ... and none of us had to do the dishes! Don't forget, kids 17 and under ate free! We also enjoyed our traditional strawberry shortcake!
On Saturday we held our Annual Family Meeting, Celebration of Life, family photos taken and fun and games.
We once again offered Rinehart Logo t-shirts and polo shirts. This year they were purple. Our Second Edition Rinehart Family History Book and our Annual Update were also available.
Many treasures were had at our Rinehart Family Rummage Sale on Saturday. All proceeds from the sale went to help defray our reunion expenses.
Everyone in attendance had a great time!
