First Invitation

Summerville, Oregon, June 10, 1903

Yourself and family are invited to attend the .First Annual Reunion of the descendants of Lewis and Elizabeth Rinehart, who crossed the plains to Oregon in 1854, which will be held July 14, 15 and 16, 1903, two miles west of Summerville, Oregon, on the James H. Rinehart "Old Homestead," where there is plenty of "wood, water and grass," and a good camping ground.


All persons are expected to bring their tents and camping outfits, blankets and frying pans, and "dish up," as our ancestors did in coming to this country 49 years ago.


A barbecue during the three days.
A good swimming pond is near by, and free pasture for all who come with teams.
A general good time is expected during the three days camping.


Those coming by train will please notify Jas. H. Rinehart a few days in advance, and they will be met at Imbler station and carried to the camping grounds 5 miles away.
